Hold On…

This photo is absolutely stunning! The vulnerability of the groom burying his head into his brides shoulder is so romantic! I’m totally swooning over this stunning blush Oscar de la Renta gown.

Trying to feel warm…

It’s a lovely 8 degrees in Chicago today. This is pretty typical weather for February 1, but compared to the winter we’ve been having and the unusually warm winter we had last year, this feels like the tundra! My Cuddle Duds and exceptionally large North Face jacket cannot brave the arctic winds. It takes me three times as long to get ready to leave the house as it does in the summer. I have to blow dry my hair so that I don’t get sick being outside in the sub-zero temperatures with wet hair.

I can’t wait for summer!!!!!!!! While, really, I’d settle for anything over 30 degrees right now… Summertime just seems so romantically inviting in this unfortunate icey land (I’m not dramatic about the cold at all).

So, to warm my spirit (if nothing else), here is a lovely beachy expose.

Now aren’t you ready for summer too? Don’t these pictures make you yearn for sun kissed skin, beach days and street festivals? Mmmm…

Pepsi-Cola: The Light Refreshment!

You’ve got to love old advertisements! Especially, the ridiculous ones!  Pepsi- Cola, ladies, is apparently formulated to keep you thin, young and will certainly not fill you up! Now, I’m a Pepsi person. But, I understand that it will not keep me thin for sure!

Enjoy! Happy Weekend!

How It Works:

PreOwned Wedding Dresses is a service that focuses on connecting bride’s shopping for their wedding gown with sellers of wedding gowns and accessories. Josie and her team are dedicated to ensuring easy happy transactions.

For just $25 brides and retailers can list their used, sample or un-worn gowns for a price of their choice. The post will remain until the seller takes it down or the gown has sold. What a great deal! This is such a great option for any bride hoping to pass on their gown (or looking for some extra closet space).

Once gowns are posted they are visible to all potential buyers. Bride’s can search the vast database by what’s new, designer, best deal, the style of gown, their size and their price point. With over 10,000 dresses to choose from there is something for everyone. Sign up for New Dress Alerts to receive email notifications every time a new gown that meets your style is posted.

The site also sells accessories. Find veils, shoes, jewelry and so much more to complete your bridal look without breaking the bank.
